blitum is an annual
herb in the family Amaranthaceae native to the Mediterranean region, can be
found in North Africa
It is common in Algeria. It reaches a height of one
meter. Its alternate leaves are greenish-reddish oval in shape. Its flowers are
green mixed male and female. The fruit is a semi-spherical capsule about 2 mm
long. The seed is shiny, brown. It is common to
notice a light spot in the middle of the leaves .
