Amaranthus hybridus is one of those plants
known in Algeria. Its stunning flowers are an annual herb of the Amaranthaceae
family, native to North Africa. It can be found in Algeria in abundance. It is
a plant those stem is often reddish, and its flowers are small and numerous.
These inflorescences intertwine with each other, forming long, green flowers
that can easily reach 10 cm, borne in the upper part of the stem. Hybrid
amaranth fruit is a capsule. Each capsule contains a small, shiny black bean
about 1 mm in diameter that is edible.
