Sesuvium
portulacastrum is a perennial herbaceous plant found in Algeria from the Aizoaceae family that
grows in coastal areas throughout most of the world. It is known as Sea purslane, and it is a creeping herb,
with creeping erect stems, succulents, thick oval-shaped leaves up to 30 cm
high, with smooth and glossy green leaves, pink or purple flowers. Sesuvium
portulacastrum grows in sandy coast, flats and salt marshes. It is native to Africa,
Asia and Australia.
